Inventio has temporarily closed its methionine production plant at its Antwerp base in Belgium because of supply problems with hydrocyanic acid (HCN) used in methionine production.

"Unfortunately, the supply of hydrocyanic acid for methionine production has been disrupted, which has affected our two methionine plants in Antwerp. According to the contract, we decide to send the force majeure notice to the customer and the supplier immediately.
